Welcome to International Cyber Security 2012!

Whilst the cyber realm has long been identified as the 5th dimension of warfare, the maturity and risk associated with the concept has grown significantly over the last decade. To defend against the increased threat from espionage, sabotage and outright attack, renewed emphasis has been given to the defence of military and CNI networks to protect vital systems and information from malicious users.

DefenceIQ is delighted to announce the return of our 3rd Annual International Cyber Security conference, which will once again take place in Brussels. Building on the success of our 2011 event, Cyber Security 2012 will:

  • Assess national strategies for improving the resilience of critical national infrastructure against the cyber threat, including areas were cyber standards are not currently legislated
  • Examine, via two-way conversation, how to incentivise the private sector to improve their cyber defence through improved cooperation and coordination
  • Identify mechanisms for international cooperation on cyber security and cyber crime
  • Understand the role social media can play in providing access to information/networks and its role in facilitating personalised attacks
